The municipality Icking is a very popular area south of Munich.
Spacious detached houses and villas surrounded by mature gardens, as well as its proximity to Lake Starnberg and the river Isar give Icking its quiet and close-to-nature character.
In Icking you can find a daycare center, a kindergarten/preschool, a primary school, and a secondary school. The private secondary school Günther Stöhr is situated in neighbouring Ebenhausen. The International School in Starnberg-Percha (MIS) can also be reached easily from here.
A post office, a bakery, a greengrocer's, a stationery shop, and two banks (Sparkasse and Raiffeisenbank) can be found in Icking. The local Landhotel offers fine cuisine and a sun terrace overlooking the valley of the river Isar. The nearest supermarkets are located in Ebenhausen and Wolfratshausen and can be reached in only a few minutes by car.
The property is quietly located at the edge of a forest, yet only a short walk away from the suburban train station Icking. The suburban train only takes 35 minutes to central Munich. The B11 and A97 also offer a good connection by car to both the city and the mountains.
Nestled between Lake Starnberg, the river Isar, the mountains, and Munich, this area has a very high recreational value. Here you can either kick back and unwind, or take advantage of one of the many recreational facilities.
