Gauting is a municipality with approximately 20,000 residents and offers a wide variety of activities. The Munich International School (MIS), located about 9 km away as the crow flies, is easily accessible. Gauting is home to a high school, a secondary school, a middle school, several elementary schools, and a public elementary school.
In the Gauting-Buchendorf neighborhood, there is a farm store, a country inn with a beer garden and lodging, a curling club, a soccer field, and a kindergarten—all within easy walking distance. The Kiefl Garden Center, featuring a deli section and a café, is located 1 km away.
Public transportation: The Fürstenried West (U3) and Großhadern (U6) subway stations are just a few minutes away by car. The same goes for the KIM business park and the Gauting S-Bahn station (Line S6). The Zentrum of Gauting is about 3 km away and can be reached by bike via a bike path. From Buchendorf, bike paths lead to nearby beer gardens, to Starnberg and into town, as well as to the Fürstenried-West subway station.
